Custom designed XtremeX V2 FPV Quadcopter Frame

Here i am going to post 2nd version of my custom designed xtremex quadcopter frame. 1st version worked way beyond my expectations. I used KK2 board most of the time and it gave me really good results. I have all ready shared CAD files of 1st version with some multirotor lovers. I will add files on my blog later when i get 2nd version ready and teated. Here is the link of topic where i shared information regarding this frame.

Recently i upgraded my FC to APM and things started getting worst as i had to drill holes on center plates to make space for APM board, also as i did with my other custom builds i added small dampers with APM to get rid off vibrations but still 1st version was not much spacious for complete setup with FPV gear, telemetry, rx and GPS units. So i have designed this new frame which is much better than old one and has many new features. Here is the list what i tried to achieve. I would like to thank Satya bro of Quadkopters to get CNCed this frame for me. This time i went with G10 black glassfiber 1.5mm sheet provided by Satya bro.

Expected features:
1. big base plate to strap battery and much lighter than 1st version.
2. new camera vibration mount with soft dampers(also from QK)
3. new center plates with more space for GPS stand, telemetry unit and FPV tx unit.
4. no props during in video concept bit improved.
5. new FC vibration mount.
6. new FC vibration mount support holes for KK2, APM and CC3D and other standard FCs.
7. more space for FPV camera.

Here are some 3D drawings of plates. Will post actual assembly pics later.

1. base plate with new support holes for camera vibration mount

2. center plate bottom with more space for GPS stand, FPV cam space and additional space on three sides for other electronics.

3. center plate top with lighter weight and support holes for FC vibration mount.

4. FC vibration mount with support holes for all known FCs

5. camera vibration mount.

more details will be added soon..

OK so here are some snaps of actuals plates. Let me start with camera vibration mount.

Here is FC vibration mount snap.

Here is snap is bottom center plate. The plate has additional space for other electronics.

Here is snap of top center plate with FC vibration mount with dampers.

Bit more closer. Dampers doing really well.
