QAV250 look-alike frame "Sprint"

After designing and flying 450 size quad i got chance to put hands on small quad called Hunter 260. This quad given to me for review from Quadkopters.com. First thing i really like about small quad is they are light, agile, easy to carry and yet powerful enough to lift whole FPV system. Many designers trying to designed folding quads so they can carry them to the field without much efforts but in the case of small quads you do not actually need to make them fold able, and due to that reason they are gaining popularity quickly. You can make them at the half price of the big quads and still you will have equal FPV flying fun. You can easily find ready-made kits and frames online. Some of the most popular names are blackout and qav250. Considering positive factors of both frames i designed new frame "Sprint". This frame specially designed for FPV lovers and has ability to fulfill requirements your FPV needs. It has drill holes for CC3D, miniAPM and famous KK2 series boards and specially made for 5x3 props only however you can designed to make it work with 6 inch props as well.

From concept to design phase it took my two days. I was planning to designed camera mount plate as well but later i dropped that idea. In addition i designed recording camera anti vibrations plate for jello free footage. Main body has all four arms included for better weighing results and less vibrations. The main body made of 2.5 mm thick indian glass fiber sheet. Actuality i was planning for 3 mm but it was out of stock at Quadkopters.com. Please have a look at some CAD drawings. Here is a 3D view of main body

Here are some 2D drawings of main body and other child parts.

ESC plate also available for securing ESCs during crashes. This time i got new dampers for camera mount from HobbySea which seems to be working well. I will share results soon.

I just received my shipment of CNCed frame parts from Quadkopters, com. Please check below snaps of how end result looks. Well Satya bro sent me some keychains and tshirt as well.

Some snaps of frame parts

New dampers fit perfectly on the plate and looks promising. Check above images. Now i am looking for some aluminium spacers and socket head screws to complete this build. If you have online resources please drop me mail. I will share videos soon once this frame completes.

CAD files are available in dwg and dxf format. All updated versions will be available here.
